My Idol
Every single person in this world have their own favorite person to be their Idol and follow them as their role model. This imply to me, as I have my own role model and he is a wonderful person that i have ever known. He is my grandfather, Haji Mohammed Hassan Bin Hussin, my mother father. He is a very funny and a wise men. Other than that, he loves to chat and would non-stop talking. He have lots of story to share with me and always treat me at Mamak's stall when I'm visited him at his house. I'm enjoyed and thrilled to hear every single story that he share with me. I remember a story where he told me how he become the forest officer and share his point of view in life. He once said that, life is short and we need to appreciated everything we received. Regardless from any triumph that we through, we should stick tight our principle and never let emotion override our judgement. As emotion are our enemy and we need to faced it with a wise and healthy mind. His philosophies of life make me think deep, but I was still a kid during that time and didn't take it seriously. Today, it help me to think deeply in everything and be wise despite of facing problems. More over, he told me to be happy and don't be too seriously as it will keep us pressure. That is one of his practice to keep young and energetic like youngster. My grandfather really a good person and has been a father too me as he always been there for me and take care of me when my mother delivered me. I could remember how he took care of me when my mother not around and always support me when my father hit me. I wish my father was like my grandfather because my grandfather is a very polite and soft. Although he is strict, he never said any harsh words or hit me and always advised me. I really hope I could repay his kindness but it's too late as my grandfather passed away in 2006. Thanks to my grandfather, he has been acted as father and teach me lesson that my father couldn't afford to fulfill it. I love him very much and always recite prayers that my grandfather were placed with pious people and will be grant heaven.

Stereotyping
Stereotyping could be defined a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. People likely to hold stereotyping comment on things based on their own point of view.
In my opinion, we as human love make stereotyping
judgment. We have been practicing stereotype concept to differentiate people based
on their image, action and behavior. Moreover, this stereotyping scenario is influence
by culture. However, the belief that we derive from our stereotype point of
view may not accurately reflect the reality. Sometime what we see doesn't as it
seems and it could surprise us in a positive or negative way.
The stereotyping concept has been cycling among human for ages and
it has it own unique function. Moreover, due to the advantage of stereotype it
help us to respond rapidly to situations because we may had similar experience
before. Where else the disadvantage of stereotype it make us ignore the
differences between individuals. Therefore we think things about people that
might not be true. We tend making generalizations through the behavior that an individual present publicly. For example, when a women speak harsh and do man jobs we often think she is masculine but she isn't.
HOW DO YOU VIEW A PREGNANT WOMAN WORKING ON INDUSTRIAL WORK PLACEMENT?
At present,
the work industrial has been dominated by fairer sex and they have the same
ability as men in terms of academic qualification, occupation and such more.
Moreover, they have been regarded as important group in society development.
However, my main concern is that on this particular group of pregnant woman are
being discriminated by their employers. Therefore,
what is the reason behind the issue of discrimination of pregnant woman that still
widespread although time has changed?
THE RELEVANT OF EDUCATION & CONVICT
It’s there any future for convict?
The article on “Prisoners
to get varsity-level courses” is taken from New Strait Times dated 3 March 2013
has captured public attention regarding the Government’s action in giving the
education opportunity to the prisoners.
Due to that, there are many negative and positive feed backs from the
society on this issue.
However, I agree with the Government’s
action by giving education opportunity to convicts as it would give them
brighter future.
First of all, education is the core to success
and wisdom. Education is the key to build individual characters from the inside
other than to emphasize in religion aspects. These convicts will realize the
benefit of education and start to change better. This is true as Aristotle once said that “The educated differ from the uneducated
as much as the livings differ from the dead.” If
the convicts didn't give the opportunity to further their education, I’m afraid
they end up re-offending and getting worse. Through education they will learn
the knowledge of ethics and applying in their life.
Secondly, education is
vital for individual to pursue dream career. As world today valued knowledge,
one’s couldn't ignore the fact of getting academic qualifications is the ticket
to gain work and financial security. Most of these convicts do not receive proper education
due to education drop out and financial problem. Therefore, this is an
opportunity for them to redeem what they have left behind and start learning
for the sake of secure life. They will have the potential to be hired by
organizations or open up own business after being released from prison. If they didn't give the education opportunity, I’m afraid they will involve in illegal
act as it is the easiest way for them as an ex-cons to stay survive. There are
many example of ex –cons that have changed their life and pursue their dream
such as Martha Stewart (the television celebrity host), Charles Colson (former
Special Counsel for President Richard Nixon) and many more.
In short, we couldn't oppose the
positive outcome by giving education opportunity to convicts and deny their
human right in receive proper education. Everyone who make mistake should have second chance to redeem himself. “The past remains the past. We can
learn from it, but we cannot change it.”― George R.R. Martin, A Dance With Dragons . Well, who us to
judge them anyway.

My Expectation on Critical Literacy
Assalamualaikum.
Well, today I'm going to start working with my finger and boost up
my brain to give my point of view. Frankly, I'm not really have any idea
what is "WHAT IS CRITICAL LITERACY?" before this and I just
assume it is some kind of literature subject which I'm presuming that I was
wrong when I started to learn Critical Literacy in class. Thanks to the rumors on
CL which I heard randomly from the seniors and they were
like exaggerated as it some kind of plague, I think I have made wrong
expectation toward this subject.
My expectation or hopes for
this subject are I will be able to learn on how to train my brain to think critically in order to overcome problems and be good in decision making. Basically, Critical Literacy is a subject which is focusing on critical thinking where it involved the process of gathering and analyzing information, facts and theories. Critical thinking is also encompass in making effective decisions and evaluates options and separate facts from opinion. In short, critical thinking is valuable process that should be applied by everyone.
In the beginning, I found myself by having
difficulties in understanding the concept of Critical Literacy because I didn't understand the basic concept the Rule of
Ten that implied in Critical Literacy. Most of my classmate and I could reach
at one point where we are completely blanked and felt despair when we have given
some task on reviewing academic articles. This is because our minds are
constricted and couldn't evaluate the possible content of the context. However,
through practices and lessons that have been given by Madam Zariati, I managed
to understand the concept the Rule of
Ten. The Rules of Ten is
basically a guideline to write the correct way of our own critical review. Topic,
content, source, audience, rhetorical function, purpose, perspective,
positioning, impact and visual literacy are the important key element to ensure our point of view is in the right
track.
Other than that, I have learned the Reasoning Skill which
is the process of getting from a particular point (problem) to another
point (solution). This is a skill that we need to find the cause of
particular issue or problem to happen which I have to use my own good sense
and base on my reasons of facts, evidence, or logical conclusions rather
than my emotions. In short, I have to determine the best solution
to a problem which I should have my own logical reason to make justification.
Basically,
by applying the concept Rule of Ten and Reasoning
skill, it had help me
a lot to think critically and understand more deep in any particular issues. It
made me realized that Critical Literacy subject teach us about the theoretical
way of thinking critically. It has never crossed my mind that this particular
subject is actually have been applied indirectly in our life even we didn't
learn it formally. So, my expectations toward Critical Literacy in improving
myself have been convincing and succeed way beyond my expectation.
I'm looking forward if this subject could introduce in primary level which
could help youngsters to appreciate the art of Critical Literacy and be wise.
