HOW DO YOU VIEW A PREGNANT WOMAN WORKING ON INDUSTRIAL WORK PLACEMENT?



At present, the work industrial has been dominated by fairer sex and they have the same ability as men in terms of academic qualification, occupation and such more. Moreover, they have been regarded as important group in society development. However, my main concern is that on this particular group of pregnant woman are being discriminated by their employers. Therefore, what is the reason behind the issue of discrimination of pregnant woman that still widespread although time has changed?




In my opinion, I view that pregnant woman are working on industrial work placement is normal. As these pregnant women are working to support their families.  Employers should organize welfare being for the sake of pregnant employee. We can’t put a line full stop to someone career just because the fact they are ‘PREGNANT’ and this is unfair for them. Employers should think wisely, as it involved someone financial security is in threat. They might be single mother who have big responsibilities in raising children. Just put ourselves in their own shoes, what happen if the poor mother lost her jobs and how are she going to manage their family financial. Therefore, employers should construct company policies that follow the law to protect the welfare of pregnant employee. It should consider the wages, maternity leave and the safety of work placement. This would help the pregnant employees and the employers could retain their value employees. Other than that, the company should do a risk assessment on pregnant employees and the work environment in order to prevent any danger that could affect the health of pregnant employees
